lunara ("we," "our," or "us") operates the lunara mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
By using lunara, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address as provided by the authentication service. If you sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email.
- Birth data: Date of birth, time of birth (optional), and place of birth that you enter for natal chart generation.
- Profile information: Your name, spiritual interests, experience level, and learning preferences selected during onboarding.
- User-generated content: Tarot readings, saved birth charts, compatibility readings, lesson progress, and reflection responses.
Information Collected Automatically
- Subscription data: Purchase and subscription status processed through Apple's App Store and managed by RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not serve advertisements.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not collect device identifiers for advertising purposes.
- We do not track your location. Place of birth is entered manually and used solely for chart calculations.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
lunara is designed with a local-first architecture. The majority of your data — including lesson progress, tarot readings, birth charts, and preferences — is stored on your device using local storage and is never transmitted to our servers.
The following data is processed server-side:
- Authentication: Account credentials are managed by Supabase, our backend provider, to enable sign-in functionality.
- Compatibility readings: When you request a compatibility reading, chart data is sent to our server to generate the analysis. The result is stored locally on your device.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

We do not share your birth data, tarot readings, lesson progress, or reflection responses with any third party.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain the App's features (chart generation, tarot readings, compatibility analysis, lesson tracking)
- Authenticate your account
- Manage your subscription
- Improve the App's functionality
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
5. Data Retention
- Local data: Stored on your device for as long as the App is installed. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.
- Account data: Retained on our authentication server while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).
- Subscription data: Purchase history is retained by Apple and RevenueCat per their respective policies.
6. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information:
- Authentication is handled through industry-standard providers (Apple, Google, Supabase).
- Local data is stored in encrypted device storage.
- Server communications use HTTPS encryption.
- We minimize server-side data storage by design.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
lunara is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@findpurpose.app and we will delete it.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data by viewing it within the App
- Delete your birth charts, tarot readings, and compatibility readings from within the App
- Delete your account by contacting us at support@findpurpose.app — we will remove all server-side data associated with your account within 30 days
- Opt out of optional data collection (e.g., birth time is optional)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request its deletion.
9. International Data Transfers
Your authentication and compatibility data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of this limited data to servers in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
